This is the route we are planning to follow
We are both keen that we actually enjoy the experience of this ride rather than just getting our heads down and doing it as fast as possible. Our route is based around that described in the book you can see to the left, written by Simon Brown. This follows more country roads than main roads and whilst it is a longer distance, it should be much more pleasant.
Day 1 - 22nd April - Land's End to Lostwithiel
65 hilly miles. 2,720 feet of climbing. Not a bad start.

67 miles. 1,657 feet of climbing.
Day 4 - 25th April - Axbridge to Gloucester

Day 5 - 26th April - Gloucester to Telford

Day 6 - 27th April - Telford to Leigh

Day 7 - 28th April - Leigh to Sedbergh

Day 8 - 29th April - Sedbergh to Gretna Green
